Gold Anchor is a more clinically beneficial fiducial marker. Gold Anchor is unique in the following ways: It is deployed from very fine needles, 25 gauge, 22 Gauge, and 20 Gauge.  Fine needles reduce discomfort for the patient and everyone involved with the implant.  The Gold Anchor is also very stable, each one has individual characteristics unto itself. Each marker is unique, in that is embeds into the tissue due to the way it is released from the needle. Gold anchor forms, unique shapes, so that you can be sure of stability when planning using CT. Gold Anchor can be seen using MRI. The marker is made of gold, but has a small percent of Iron, which clearly registers on MRI.
